Frequently Asked Questions

What is your approach to counselling?

My approach is holistic and draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and nervous system regulation. In practice, this means we explore both your thoughts and patterns, while also working with how your body responds to stress and emotion.

Is counselling confidential?

Yes. What you share in counselling is private and confidential, with a few legal and ethical exceptions (such as risk of harm to yourself or others, or if required by law). I will always aim to be transparent with you about confidentiality and its limits.

What happens in a counselling session?

Counselling sessions are a space for you to talk through whatever is going on for you at your own pace. There’s no pressure or expectation, you can bring anything you’re struggling with, thinking about, or wanting to understand better. My role is to listen, support you, and help you explore things in a way that feels safe and manageable.

What can I come to counselling for?

People come to counselling for many different reasons. I often support women navigating overwhelm, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-worth concerns, identity questions, and feeling disconnected from themselves. You don’t need to have a “big enough” reason to come, if something feels heavy or stuck, that’s enough.

Are you qualified and registered?

Yes. I hold a Bachelor of Counselling, I am currently completing my first year of a Master’s degree, and I am a Level 2 member of the Australian Counselling Association. I also have a background in mental health and case management.

Do you offer online or in-person sessions?

I offer Telehealth Counselling Sessions Australia wide. Online sessions are held via Google Meet and can be accessed from anywhere in Australia. A link will be emailed to you at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.
